About Us
Kourdisto mantarini (Clockwork Tangerine) Art Festival is a venue that celebrates freedom of speech and incites new ideas, within the theme of its subject each year. The first Mantarini was held in mountain Penteli in Athens in 2016, where artists form Athens and abroad came to the camp researched their subject for a week and presented it on the weekend where the Festival opened to the public. We received plenty of heart melting comments by visitors and participants. Thus, it is time to set up the new mantarini, beyond the borders of the city and urban life, in Messolonghi, we will stay at the sea side house with a big garden. And we will showcase our work in the near by theaters and museums, flooding the city with art and aspirations. It is our mission to attract locals and be able to demonstrate our thoughts to engage in a dialogue with the inhabitants and the landscape. We look forward to experiencing this come together again which we hope to attract visitors form the around areas and Athens. We know that we will live it vividly for the invited participating artists are very promising.

Το Φεστιβάλ Τέχνης Κουρδιστό μανταρίνι είναι ένας χώρος που επιμένει στην ελευθερία του λόγου και υποκινεί νέες ιδέες, που εμβαθύνουν το θέμα του κάθε χρόνο. Το πρώτο Mantarini πραγματοποιήθηκε στην ορεινή Πεντέλη της Αθήνας το 2016, όπου καλλιτέχνες από την Αθήνα και το εξωτερικό κατασκήνωσαν στον χώρο, ερεύνησαν το θέμα τους για μια εβδομάδα και το παρουσίασαν το Σαββατοκύριακο όπου το Φεστιβάλ άνοιξε για το κοινό. Λάβαμε πολλά Θελκτικα σχόλια από επισκέπτες και συμμετέχοντες. Έτσι λοιπόν, ήρθε η ώρα να στήσουμε το νέο μανταρίνι, πέρα από τα όρια της πόλης και της αστικής ζωής, Στο Μεσολόγγι, θα μείνουμε στο παραθαλάσσιο σπίτι με μεγάλο κήπο. Και θα παρουσιάσουμε τη δουλειά μας στα κοντινά θέατρα και μουσεία, πλημμυρίζοντας την πόλη με τέχνη και φιλοδοξίες. Είναι αποστολή μας να προσελκύσουμε ντόπιους και να μπορέσουμε να επιτελέσουμε τις σκέψεις μας για να έρθουμε σε διάλογο με τους κατοίκους και το τοπίο. Ανυπομονούμε να βιώσουμε ξανά αυτή τη συνάντηση, την οποία ελπίζουμε να μας επισκευτούν φιλότεχνοι από τις γύρω περιοχές και την Αθήνα. Γνωρίζουμε ότι θα το ζήσουμε έντονα, κρίνοντας απο τους πολλά υποσχόμενους καλλιτέχνες και δράσεις..

Open Call
Καλούμε καλλιτέχνες του θεάτρου, της μουσικής της περφόρμανς Φωτογράφους και των εικαστικών να υποβάλουν την αίτηση τους, για να παρουσιάζουν το έργο τους σε δράσεις, ομιλίες και σεμινάρια.

«Ω Βαράσοβα! Ω Νάρκισσε»
Το Θέμα του Μανταρινιού φέτος είναι εμπνευσμένο από το βιβλίο της Πέπης Ρηγοπούλου «Ο Νάρκισσος, στα ίχνη της εικόνας και του μύθου».
We invite artists of Theater, Music, Dance, Performance Photography and visual arts to send us their proposal to present their work during the Festival. Apart from the end work you can participate with a lecture or workshop.

“Oh Varasova! Oh Narcissus!
The theme of our festival this year is inspired by the book by Pepi Rigopoulou “ Narcissus, in the trace of the image and myth.”
